Welcome! Please note that I am currently more active on my livejournal though I try to keep this gallery updated as well. If you'd like to know more about me, you can check there or e-mail me.
I do commissions. Please do not hesitate to email me if you're interested.
I'm currently a graduate student of computational linguistics at San Diego State University.
My favorite artists: Rembrandt, Monet and the other impressionists, Frank Lloyd Wright, John Singer Sargent, Maxfield Parrish, Michael Parkes.
My current favored authors: Robert Jordan, Terry Brooks, P.D. James, Madeleine L'Engle, William Shakespeare, Terry Goodkind, Tad Williams, George R. R. Martin, Katharine Kerr, John Irving, Beverly Cleary, Charles Dickens, Neal Stephenson, James Herriot, and J.K. Rowling.
Some of my favorite musicians: the Smiths, Morrissey, Coldplay, Sarah McLachlan, Depeche Mode, Live, Travis, Dirty Vegas, the Wolfe Tones, Delerium, U2 and Moby.
Goals and whatnot: I want to travel the world, learn judo, learn how to play the guitar and/or piano, take some ballet classes, and learn a couple more languages, at the very least.
Random facts: I love the movie Moulin Rouge, am blue eyed, right-handed, I drive a Geo Metro, my favorite color is blue, I have diabetes, and I'm allergic to horses, my favorite animal. (Wouldn't you know.)
I hope you enjoy the results of my hobby as much as I enjoy creating these little scribbles!
October 2003: Prints of some of my kirins are now available here.
July 2004: I added 'Kirin Stars [Preliminary],' 'Obeisance [Preliminary],' and 'Retro Hippocampus [Sketch].'
December 2004: I uploaded 'American Centaur', 'Celestial Kirin', 'Christmas 2004', 'Beardsley Mermaid', 'Smoke Kirin', 'Kirin Ride 2', and 'Kirin Queen [Preliminary]' and replaced 'Luminous' with a better scan.
10 July 2005: I got married, so now I've got a new name. I'm still in grad school, so haven't made art in a long long time. When the almighty thesis is done, then I will be back!

Guestbook for Stevensone
 | | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 10 Mar 2004 | Scott Collins | Scribbles, pish-posh. These are great! I never knew what a Kirin was, thank you for educating me. | |
| 23 Oct 2004 | Leoni 'Leofairy' Bunch | *bounces* Ello. Thanks to you, I managed to draw myself a very nice kirin - your tour was most inspiring. Cheers! | |
| 23 Oct 2004 | Lize 'Liko' Kok | I love your work, but what is even more amazing is that I too like The Smiths, Morrissey and U2 and I too am allergic to horses (which of course had to be my favorite animal too) Just had to tell ...
I especially like your your Kirins, there beautiful. | |
| 12 Oct 2005 | Anna-Malin Falkeby | It´s a pleasure to look thru your gallery.I really love style. Keep up this awesome work. | |
| 10 Dec 2005 | Ahren | Hi, just took your tour. It was great, But I noticed something. Does anyone draw winged kirins? Just a thought. Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "In the various mythologies, the kirin isn't pictured with wings, which is probably why renditions with wings are rare. I've drawn a winged kirin, though--"Kirin Cerapter".Thanks for taking my tour!" | |
| 15 Dec 2005 | Erin Stevenson | Hi we have the same name and alot in common. I am from Glasgow in Scotland. You have a great talent at drawing. Hope to hear from you soon. Erin Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "Hi Erin! Thank you for visiting. I've always wanted to claim Scottish ancestry once I learned that many Stevensons are Scottish, but I don't know if I actually am part Scottish or not. (I'm one of those American mutts of scrambled heritage. Swedish and English on my mom's side, and who-knows-what on my dad's side.)" | |
| 2 Oct 2006 | Dinocommander | I see you are a kirin-specialist elfwood artist. The asian-unicorns had long walrus moustache and scaled fur? Nobody knows, but the idea is very interesting and dreamlike. | |
| 3 Oct 2006 | Gillian Meredith | Hey there...haven't been here in awhile! I hope all is going well with ya. You've got more new work than I do...I'd better get on it! | |
| 3 Oct 2006 | Louise 'crazihors' Peterken | I love your gallery and you've inspired me to try and draw a kirin...I've never done that before | |
| 9 Feb 2007 | Dragoneyes | I love all you kirins they are so amazing! | |
