SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sleeping AngelI hate Microsoft Photo Editor. In trying to reduce the file size, I turned this into a yucky gray blob. I'll try to fix it later, like after I ink it.
March 2002: I finally fixed it. There's a bit of a line down the middle, as I had to scan it in two pieces, but I don't have a great deal of patience for Photoshop yet. Maybe I'll have to upload it again once I take the time to try to fix that sort of thing. I've never done that scan-in-pieces-and-cut-and-paste thing before, so gotta start somewhere! Oh yeah, and I flipped it over 'cause I think I like it better that way.
| | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 13 Nov 2001 | John (Hui) Li | Ah, this is the one I saw. Well, you got my comments on it, but I must say again, that it's quite a spiffy pose, and the whole winge(accent)d lady can never go wrong with er... that is you can't go wrong with winged ladies... Anyway(s) *tease* the thumbnail looks really good because it seems darker... but I won't whine 'bout that 'cause you're already inking it Oh you, making fun of me with the anyway...s thing, grrr. ;-) Yep, winged ladies are fun. But I've noticed that all my wings are starting to look the same. I will definitely have to be consulting a bird reference the next time I draw them. | |
| 14 Nov 2001 | Stanton F. Fink | Why don't you get ahold of Adobe? Or, better yet, try OpenCanvas. Well, I was at work, so I was kinda limited. (Waah, the computer at my parents' house is incapacitated!) The computer with the scanner (count 'em, one) used to have Photoshop but the evil IT guys killed to to reduce memory on the computer. Or some excuse like that. So once the scanner at the parents' house is working again, I'll re-scan my recent updates and re-post them. | |
| 14 Nov 2001 | Kim Marie Vilimek | That program DOES suck! I advoided using it and just got nothing done, hehehe. Oh well I was finally able to get photoshop 6 so all's good now!
I still have a certain angel to do but I'm as flat as a frog on a highway! Yes, that's right, ya do! But no pressure, all in good time, it's just for fun anyway.
| 14 Nov 2001 | Anneke Hut | Well let me agree with John for once , the pose is beautiful. Such a pity the contrast is gone. I think it will become really wonderful with ink. I can look forward to all that beautiful detail you will put on it, you're very talented in detail! (Hi John, still hidden in the dark corners of the woods?)He's out there somewhere... And I've already started inking it, so an update will come soon, muse willing. | |
| 15 Nov 2001 | Kim Marie Vilimek | Nope, actually I promised, hehehe, just never set a due date. ;-) | |
| 21 Nov 2001 | Jennifer Michelle Kerr | *sniffles* its even worse for me that the scanner is died over here! my beautiful mike herrera picture can't be posted because of it, oh how sad. but Gir will be!!! yay! go Gir! | |
| 1 Apr 2002 | John (Hui) Li | Looks good with the ink. I especially like the feathers. I still think the forearm is a little skinny though ;p Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "Hehehehe, you know it's actually thinner on the original 'cause I over-inked it a bit. I erased the inside ink on the forearm in Photoshop. Maybe I shoulda got more of your input when I was doing that, eh?" | |
| 8 May 2002 | Janine | I can barely notice the line..... I probably wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't mention it. But very well done. Nice job. : outs because she can't draw like that:: | |
| 25 Jun 2008 | Kačena Mulíková | Beatiful....her wings are lovely.... | |
